Occupational Therapy Sessions

Our one-on-one Occupational Therapy services provide individualised support for children aged 0–16 years who may be experiencing challenges with attention, learning, play, self-care, or participation in daily activities. Each session is carefully tailored to your child and focuses on what matters most to them and your family. Therapy is play-based, strengths-focused and practical, helping children develop skills in a way that feels safe, engaging and meaningful. Sessions may support areas such as: - Attention and concentration - Emotional regulation and confidence - Fine motor skills and handwriting - Play skills and social participation - Self-care skills like dressing, eating and daily routines -School readiness and classroom participation We offer flexible service delivery, including sessions at your home, school, kindy or childcare, in-clinic at our Fairfield home studio, or via telehealth. This allows therapy to happen in environments where your child naturally lives and learns. Parent and caregiver involvement is a key part of our approach. We work collaboratively with families and, with consent, educators and other professionals to ensure strategies are practical, consistent and effective across settings. Our goal is to support your child to feel capable, confident and supported — and to give families clear strategies they can use beyond the therapy session.

Caregiver Support Sessions

Our Caregiver Support Sessions are designed to support parents and caregivers through collaborative coaching, guidance and problem-solving with a qualified Occupational Therapist. These sessions focus on understanding your child’s needs, unpacking challenges you may be experiencing, and developing practical, realistic strategies that can be implemented in everyday routines. Rather than working directly with your child, the therapist works alongside you — coaching, troubleshooting and supporting you to feel confident in how you respond to your child’s needs. Parent–Therapist Coaching sessions may support areas such as: - Understanding your child’s behaviour, regulation and sensory needs - Managing challenging routines (e.g. mornings, bedtime, transitions) - Supporting attention, emotional regulation and independence - Building confidence with strategies used at home or school - Aligning strategies across family members, educators and therapists Sessions can be delivered in person or via telehealth, making them flexible and accessible for families. They may be used as a stand-alone service or alongside 1:1 Occupational Therapy or Therapy Assistant support. These sessions are ideal for families who want clear guidance, reassurance and strategies that feel achievable and tailored to their child and family context. Our goal is to empower parents with knowledge, confidence and practical tools — so support extends well beyond the therapy session and into everyday life.

Therapy Assistant Sessions

Our Therapy Assistant services support children to practice and strengthen skills outside of their regular Occupational Therapy sessions. Therapy Assistants work closely with your child under the direction of a qualified Occupational Therapist, following a personalised therapy plan designed specifically for your child. These sessions focus on practice, repetition and consistency, helping children apply skills in real-life environments such as home, school or childcare. Therapy Assistant sessions are engaging, play-based and goal-focused, while remaining practical and supportive. Therapy Assistant services may support goals such as: - Building attention and task engagement - Practising fine motor and handwriting skills - Supporting emotional regulation strategies - Developing play and social skills - Increasing independence with self-care routines - Supporting classroom participation and routines Therapy Assistant sessions can be delivered at home, school, kindy, childcare or via telehealth, depending on your child’s goals and therapy plan. They are a great option for families wanting more regular support while keeping therapy cost-effective. Your child’s Occupational Therapist remains closely involved — regularly reviewing progress, updating goals and adjusting strategies to ensure support remains effective and aligned with your child’s needs. Our Therapy Assistant services aim to build confidence, independence and skill development through consistent, meaningful practice — helping children make progress where it matters most.
